aFe POWER is seeking a Junior R&D Technician to support the development of new automotive performance products at our Corona, California facility. This is an entry-level, hands-on role for someone with automotive experience who wants to grow in product development, testing, installation, documentation, and light fabrication.
The Junior R&D Technician will assist with vehicle teardown, stock component removal, prototype installation, test fitting, and product documentation. This position will support the development of charge pipes, air intake systems, thermal products, suspension products, and other truck, Jeep, diesel, and off-road related components.
This role works closely with engineering, R&D, product management, fabrication, manufacturing, and other departments to help move new products from concept through production. Responsibilities include using basic hand and power tools, assisting with fixtures and production aids, taking installation photos, documenting fitment notes and issues, and helping create or update installation instructions.

Some automotive experience required.
Basic hand and power tool experience required.
Ability to remove and install vehicle components with guidance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Interest in automotive performance, trucks, Jeeps, diesel, off-road, or aftermarket products.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Dependable, hands-on, and willing to learn.
Preferred:
Light fabrication experience.
Metalworking, welding, grinding, cutting, drilling, or assembly experience.
Experience in an automotive shop, dealership, fabrication shop, race shop, or aftermarket parts company.
Experience reading basic drawings, measurements, work instructions, or technical documentation.
