POSITION FOCUS

The primary focus of the graphic artist role is the preparation, design, and delivery of creative assets with direction from Creative Director.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, designers, copywriters, project managers and various stakeholders to prepare creative assets and production files based on supplied specifications.
2. Apply SEMA’s brand identity and individual campaigns’ Strategic Vision cohesively across large integrated list of marketing deliverables, including print ads, banners, signage, brochures, both design, social media, banner ads, web pages, emails, sales materials, infographics, marketing collateral, etc.
3. Collaborate with team and production manager to efficiently manage workstream, keeping track of projects, deadlines, and review cycles.
4. Catalog and archive all artwork while helping to develop and manage asset management and file nomenclature systems for easy referencing and repurposing.

RELATIONSHIPS

1. Reports to Creative Director.
2. Interfaces with all levels of staff.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Liberal Arts degree in graphic design, visual design, communications design, art direction, or related field
• Proven work experience as a graphic designer, production artist or similar role; agency background a plus
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams
• Experience with digital content, social media, online advertising, and email campaigns
• Clean and modern design aesthetic with an eye towards cohesive design solutions that support the overarching brand identity
• Creative and innovative thinking—able to distill complex concepts into simple, thoughtful designs
• High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Process-oriented, self-starter mindset with a strong attention to detail
• Able to multi-task with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple projects at a time
• Portfolio samples desired
