SUMMARY
SEMA is searching for a seasoned and process-focused Marketing Operations and Resource Manager to lead production planning, workflow management, marketing execution, and project management for SEMA’s internal marketing team and business unit clients. The ideal candidate will be an expert problem-solving collaborator for SEMA, its members, and the aftermarket industry. This marketing position requires a strategic mindset, a high level of organization, expertise, and experience in project management platform/software setup and use, excellent communication and collaboration skills, proficiency in managing multiple projects with various stakeholders and tight deadlines, and a strong commitment to continually improve processes and team efficiency.

POSITION FOCUS
The Marketing Operations and Resource Manager will be responsible for the development, coordination, and production of marketing deliverables for all association business units and/or individual stakeholders and manage the implementation of all approved marketing plan deliverables including (but not limited to) collateral and marketing materials for broadcast advertising, digital marketing, email marketing, social media, print, direct mail, and merchandising.
Reporting to the Marketing Director of Agency Operations and closely working cross-functionally with other members of the marketing team, and interacting with numerous stakeholders, outside agencies, and external contractors, the Marketing Operations and Resource Manager will lead production of marketing materials needed to deliver on co-created strategies, marketing plans, and various campaign deliverables through a project management platform. Together with the Marketing Director of Agency Operations this role will be key to helping build world-class agency operations and client services to internal business units and various stakeholders while being a key contributor in developing positive client relationships and a collaborative team environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implementation of marketing plan production needs including accurate production timelines and end-to-end management of projects/deliverables through completion.
- Lead organization and running of project management platform/software used by the marketing team.
- Manage day-to-day escalations and troubleshooting of creative development and production issues.
- Oversee and supervise workflow management for all marketing projects and production deliverables.
- Manage and maintain a standard operating and quality control process for all marketing support requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams, including creative services, web services, digital marketing, email marketing, social media, public relations, communications, and department stakeholders to maintain agreed-upon timelines and consistently produce high-quality deliverables that meet business objectives.
- Support Account Manager and department stakeholders (in Events, Sales, Membership, Education, Research, Government Affairs, SEMA Data, SEMA Garage) in the development and implementation of approved marketing strategies, campaigns, and tasks to achieve SEMA’s priority strategic objectives while continuously improving how SEMA connects with its members.
- Develop and provide monthly analytics and reports including (but not limited to) total hours used by various business units, total hours spent on various projects, number of projects completed, and other metrics.
- Provide Marketing Director accurate information for the formulation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
- Lead bidding process for outside production projects to produce quality deliverables in the most efficient manner.
- Coordinate fulfillment of marketing materials through various 3rd party vendors, delivery services and platforms
- Support invoice processing when needed and back up coordination of payment for outside vendors.
- Attend and participate in SEMA sponsored and other external activities, events and functions as required.
- Understand project needs from a resource perspective; Manage and oversee resource allocation for all projects, collaborate with department leads to assign appropriate talent, and forecast resource bandwidth based on current and upcoming projects.
- When directed by management, perform other assignments and duties as required.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years job experience related to project management, marketing operations, marketing production, client management, and/or resource management.
- PMP (Project Management) Certification preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with various project management tools and platforms.
- Expertise in setup, utilization, upkeep, and control of a project management platform (Wrike, Asana, Monday, Basecamp, etc...)
- Proven experience in workflow management and guiding marketing production.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the requirements for diverse marketing deliverables, including print collateral, digital banners, web content, and social media assets, etc.
- High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple projects with various stakeholders with tight deadlines.
- Process-oriented, self-starter mindset with a strong attention to detail.

Salary Range: This position's estimated annual base salary is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00. Actual base salary will be dependent on individual’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is eligible for 401k Savings plan, Healthcare (medical, dental and vision), and other generous rewards.
