45 year-old company in the aftermarket automotive business is looking for a knowledgeable salesperson. The primary responsibility of this sales position is to identify and develop relationships with existing customers and prospects. Working hours do include some after hours/weekend work and travel. It is estimated overnight travel is around 5% and daily travel can be up to 20%. Day-to-day responsibilities include: answer incoming calls, process orders, check inventory and track orders for customers, achieve monthly and annual sales goals as set by the general manager, plan sales activities, attend after hours (sometimes weekend) events, serve as an expert in automotive and power sports wheels and tires, escalate problems to management, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years sales experience where sales goals are measured. Preference is given to those with an automotive background particularly in the area of wheel and tire fitments. Overtime is paid in accordance with law. An aggressive and determined salesperson has OUTSTANDING commission potential. A valid driver's license is required.
Job Type: Full-time, mostly M - F with some weekend travel and weekend events.
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour to START based on experience and automotive industry knowledge. Monthly commission. Company offers major medical insurance with a large portion paid by the company. Dental, vision, disability, and life insurance is also available. Payroll is weekly.
