This position is one where you have a huge amount of opportunity to add value. The more value you add, the more money you will make. About 50% of your time would be on the phone with customers discussing our products, helping them with installation issues and/or problems they may be having. The balance would be solving tickets that are submitted with similar question. You would also have the opportunity to add to our knowledge base if you really want to separate yourself from the rest.
A Successful Tech Support
Manage projects and tasks without supervision
Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple duties, manage time, and follow through on all tasks and projects with little or no supervision.
Be able to regularly enter orders and returns with no to minimal errors
Maintain a solid knowledge of automotive principles, maintenance, and related areas
Able to provide training, both internal and external, for the areas of product line(s)
1+ years or equivalent of office or inside customer service / call center experience preferred
Hands on and/or practical automotive repair experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Automotive enthusiasm is highly preferred
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Typing and 10-key skills with an emphasis on production and accuracy
