The Business Development Manager will lead the overall business relationship with tire distributors.
They will establish and implement short-term goals and long-range strategies to accomplish results meeting company objectives. They will effectively grow the business, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability through collaboration with division business units and resources.
Lead customer development, growing sales, and market share. Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels through close contact with key functional disciplines and decision-makers. Establish strategic direction and lead overall customer planning and acquisition activities. Develop and implement sales strategies in accordance with divisional and business unit and product line objectives. Identify new customer requirements, creating internal visibility and actions to capitalize on opportunities. Organize the development of customer quotations and proposals in close cooperation with sales director. Compile, present,and negotiate prices with tire distributors and tire dealers. Responsible for regional operative and strategic planning for regional sales. Contribute to operational and strategic business planning process with volume & price inputs. Maintain oversite of account profitability, with actions to support and improve margins whenever possible. Maintain awareness of competitor activity and overall market conditions to provide predictive intelligence for company.
Develops strategies to reach sales goals. Writes sales pitches for all products and services. Completes competitive analysis reports. Presents monthly sales reports to managers. Contacts potential customers and makes sales pitches. Develops relationships with top customers. Meets or exceeds sales quotas. Collaborates with customer service, billing, and other departments. Uses popular sales management software. -Identify and research potential clients Develop and maintain client relationships Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed Gather useful information from customer and competitor data Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business Track and report on the status of proposal components
Essential Skills and Experience:
Understanding of and ability to effectively combine technical knowledge with commercial responsibilities 5+ years experience in sales roles in the automotive or tire industry Experience dealing directly with major tire distributors and dealers. Demonstrate the ability to build customer relationships and in sales development, including achievement of first acquisition with new customers.
