Currie Enterprises is a leader in automotive aftermarket drivetrain components and is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. We are looking for someone to assist in the development of new products as well as maintain and update current products.

Education:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for new and existing products
• Utilize a variety of manufacturing methods including: CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, casting, forging, etc.
• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for manufacturing
• 3D Scan components for reverse engineering and quality inspection purposes
• Post processing 3D Scanned raw data
• Identify and solve manufacturing and design problems in existing products
• Communicate effectively with other employees, vendors, and customers to address Engineering issues

Minimum Skills:

• 3+ years of Mechanical Engineering and manufacturing experience
• Extensive experience using SolidWorks for 3D parts, assemblies, and drawing
• Experience working with precision mechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of machine shop manufacturing processes
• Experience designing precision machined parts

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Automotive industry
• Fabrication experience
• Personal automotive maintenance and repair experience
• 3D Scanning experience is a plus
