Rhino Rack USA, with its headquarters in Aurora, Colorado, provides product distribution, engineering, sales, and administrative support for our North American distributors.
We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to grow sales and increase brand visibility, expand distribution, develop and enhance relationships with our current base of distributors, and to meet or exceed sales/revenue targets. The territory is the southeastern region of the US including the states of TN, VA, NC, SC GA, FL, AL, and MS.
The Regional Sales Manager role is an integral member of the Rhino Rack sales team. The ideal candidate will ensure a coordinated approach to sales management and development across operations, be data-focused to analyze trends and competitive offerings and possess excellent communication skills.
Manage daily business for established distributors including assessment of YTD purchases, inventory analysis, new product placement, competitive analysis, create and manage marketing programs to drive sell-through, relationship development, and training of sales & marketing staff.
Prospect, open and manage new distributor opportunities assuring they fit in with regional and national distribution strategy.
Visit retailers & jobbers to build relationships and facilitate sell-through of product line by educating ownership and staff on product features & benefits, build brand visibility though strategic placement of POP materials, and general product or installation troubleshooting.
Attend regional and national trade show events as a representative of Rhino Rack.
Implement strategic sales plans for the region to meet or exceed sales objectives.
Maintains timely communications with National Sales Manager, corporate office, and other RSM’s. Maintains complete records and submits accurate reporting to management.
Communicate interdepartmentally within the corporate office and act as the voice of the customer to proactively solve issues and ensure distributor needs are met.
The ability to forecast sales by region and customer utilizing current data, seasonality, and firsthand knowledge of the distributors purchasing cycles.
Minimum of 3-5 years of automotive aftermarket experience preferably selling accessories.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Individual needs to be a self-starter, data-driven, and capable of working remotely.
Exhibit strong account management abilities including excellent communication, ability to multi-task, and a strong penchant for following-up after the sales call.
Must live within the territory to be considered for this position.
Up to 50% travel required (post-Covid) within the territory including overnights.
The ability to lift 50lbs or greater as needed.
