The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning the production of multiple finished manufactured and assembled products within the constraints of demand plans, resource availability and plant capacity (plans of 1-6 months and outward). The Production Scheduler will work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Manager, Procurement Specialist and Sales Manager to plan, coordinate and implement the daily and long-term production plans to support the company’s demand and growth requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the S&OP team to manage production planning and scheduling to maintain sufficient finished goods production to stay ahead of demand and growth pressures.
Work closely with Procurement to ensure that production materials, third-party products and supply logistics are in sync with production schedules.
Utilize MES and MRP tools and data to drive materials and production resource requirement forecasting and planning.
Continuously coordinate with the Manufacturing Operations and Sales Managers to adjust for variants in the day-to-day operations (job travelers, work-orders, finish dates, etc.).
Look for ways to drive output of finished goods through lean and optimized scheduling best practices.
Work closely with the S&OP team to understand forecasted yields by product type, and to provide an executable long-term production plan.
Provide weekly and monthly production updates during S&OP meetings on the health of the production plan, identifying constraints or shifts in ETAs.
Work with other members of the S&OP team to develop KPI's to track the health and accuracy of the Production Planning workflows.
Prepare and distribute scheduled reports to keep all production stakeholders apprised of updated production ETAs for finished goods.
Work deftly with Procurement to ensure materials are received, inventoried and ready for production consistently.
Coordinate with finance to compile reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
Support ad hoc project or product information requests from the MOM and other company staff.
Education, Capabilities & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree with manufacturing, business analytics, or logistics/supply chain course study.
Strong background in a variety of inventory management concepts, practices, and procedures. Specific production planning experience preferred.
Experience as a production planner, master scheduler, demand planner, supply planner.
Experience in using an ERP system, spreadsheet, database or other software.

Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles and controls.
Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and possess skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
Fluent with MES and MRP management utilizing MISys, SAP or similar ERP solutions.
Must possess a strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
Lead by example as a key company policy administrator and rules enforcer.
Co-manage production staff; assist with performance evaluations, reviews and status recommendations for all employees on the production team.
