Baer Brakes is hiring a Sales Representative to talk to customers over the phone and through e-mail. This is not a remote position.
Do you love automobiles and the aftermarket? When you have to work do you enjoy sales, and helping others live their passion for the automotive industry? Sales Representatives first and foremost are automotive enthusiasts. They know the parts because they know and love the products and are mechanically inclined. They enjoy talking to customers over the phone or through e-mail and can apply their knowledge with basic sales principals to evaluate the customer’s needs and recommend the best products to help the customer and increase revenue. They are passionate about customer service and enjoy doing it.
Where you’ll spend your time:
Evaluating customers’ needs and making recommendations for products and services helping the customer understand how the product will benefit them Chatting with customers over the phone and through email to assist them with technical and non-technical information including helping them understand information about the product, cost, shipping cost, and availability. Entering orders through the computer systems, canceling orders, and looking up information Working with internal departments and external business partners to resolve customer problems or concerns Keeping up on industry news, trends, products, services, competitors and other relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies and the latest product-line developments Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
You have / Are:
High School Diploma or equivalent
A Passion for the automotive industry
Effectively able to match product knowledge to the implicit needs of the customer
Demonstrates understanding and technical knowledge of our products and services
Ability to use knowledge of products/services to enable upselling
Troubleshoots product related problems
Demonstrated customer service and sales experience
Look for ways to add value beyond the customer's immediate requests
Addresses the unidentified, underlying and long-term needs and anticipates upcoming needs and concerns
Enhance the customers experience through following processes
Experience with the selling process taking a consultative approach
Previous sales experience using a sales process and the ability to identify the steps
Uses all forms of communication (verbal, written, and electronic) in a clear and precise way to communicate to the customer
Employs a solution-oriented approach to selling
Experience working with computers including the ability to enter information with high accuracy and ability to navigate comfortably through programs
