Description VP Racing Fuels is seeking a passionate Social Media Manager who will be responsible for leading our social media presence across multiple lines of business with overall goals of enhancing brand reputation, increasing awareness of VP’s non-race fuel products, and influencing revenue. The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering results from social campaigns and making data-driven decisions. Responsibilities
Develop a holistic social media strategy for key channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Develop and manage a regular communications rhythm and editorial calendar while overseeing VP Racing Fuel’s overall day-to-day social media presence, including but not limited to: product launches, announcements, demand-generation campaigns, news/press/media amplification, weekend race results, and influencer engagement.
Write social copy, manage day-to-day relationships with influencers to curate content, schedule/publish posts, and drive fan engagement
Manage social media reporting, planning on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement VP Racing Fuel’s paid social program to drive traffic to e-commerce and retail channels
Create/curate compelling and engaging digital content including: short videos, graphics, infographics to support the content strategy to increase engagement with followers
Manage comments across brands that come in via social channels and work with appropriate team members to engage in thoughtful conversation where appropriate.
Develop social media templates and best practices to share with Sales to improve consistency, amplification and overall reach.
Monitor evolving social media trends and best practices for continuous improvement.
Develop and implement a VP Racing Fuels employee social media advocacy program – enabling and recognizing employees for their contributions.
Requirements & Skills
5+ years of experience in a corporate or agency PR/social media role, with at least two years focusing on racing and automotive consumer products
Strong analytical skills to carry out a metrics-driven approach to content creation
Proficient with research and metrics tools such as Buzzsumo and Google Analytics
Experience in blogger relations and campaigns
Ability to create social media content calendars (CoSchedule experience a plus)
Experience with video production is a plus
Knowledge of social media monitoring, reporting and analytics tools
Must possess a unique blend of both highly creative and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Organized, flexible and collaborative
Excellent writing, editing, communication and presentation skills
