The Director of Manufacturing Operations is responsible to oversee operational and manufacturing activities including purchasing, logistic, and manufacturing.
5+ years of progressive leadership experience successfully managing large manufacturing organizations in the automotive parts industry or aftermarket parts industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, manufacturing or related.
Experience in lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement.
Strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Highly motivated, results-oriented, driven.
Knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel and plastics processes of automotive performance parts.
Oversees all areas of manufacturing.
Develops the manufacturing plans and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations.
Develop and implement plans and standard operating procedures in order to minimize manufacturing costs, improve throughput, and effectively utilize all materials, manpower, equipment, materials, and capital.
Works with owners and senior management in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives.
Utilize financial data to improve profitability, inventory control, purchasing of supply’s and plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company.
Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., employee performance, training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.)
Deliver a monthly finished goods demand forecast by developing a collaborative forecasting process with management and sales
Leads the Sales & Operations Planning monthly cycle to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment
Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions that eliminate repeat events.
Train and evaluate the performance of personnel.
Develops workable implementation plans; communicates changes effectively; builds commitment and overcomes resistance; Prepares and supports those affected by change; monitors transition and evaluates results.
Comply with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.
Prioritize & plans work activities using efficient time management. Plans for additional resources; Sets goals & objectives; Organizes or schedules other people & their tasks.
