The Parts Manager – Automotive is responsible for the following:
Using the Fishbowl ERP system, plan parts purchases from 125+ suppliers to ensure 100% parts availability for production while maintaining inventory levels at 30-45 days’ supply
Using the Fishbowl ERP system, purchase non-production supplies, equipment, and services
After parts are received, check invoices against purchase orders to be sure they are correct
Interface with production, engineering, and suppliers on parts quality issues
Ensure supplier and parts records in the Fishbowl ERP system are complete and up to date
Assist with the selection of suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate pricing and terms, and set up wholesale accounts with new suppliers
Maintain records of supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery
Arrange most cost effective shipping
Manage parts requirements for warranty and service
Retail and wholesale parts sales
Extensive knowledge of and interest in automotive parts, supplies, and services
At least two years of relevant work experience in automotive parts
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communications
Background in Ford parts a strong plus
Compensation will be commensurate with the experience and proficiency of the candidate selected. Compensation consists of a competitive hourly wage and a quarterly performance bonus, based on the achievement of objectives. This position is eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits, and our IRA (Individual Retirement Account) program.
