Information Technologies, Operations, Technician - Mechanical Repair
DriveRightData are seeking a charismatic individual to work from our Wheel Testing Facility based in Fullerton, Orange County. The position is focused around performing specialized wheel testing services and gathering vehicle related data to support our international data division in maintaining our vast vehicle, wheel and tire databases.
The role reports to our Chief Technical Officer and you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our databases and carrying out wheel testing services.
This will involve:
Online researching of vehicle information;
Working with and inputting data into various software systems;
Visiting car dealers and shows, to collect data;
Performing testing to industry standards and reporting on results to our clients;
Physical activity (including heavy lifting) to mount wheels on specialist machinery; and
Measuring caliper profiles after removing wheels from vehicles.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated to learn and grow with the industry and DriveRightData and have a meticulous eye for detail with a passion for the vehicle industry. There will be opportunities to travel both nationally and internationally.
It is essential you have a good knowledge of Microsoft office, an understanding of general mathematics, excellent communication skills and hold a full clean drivers licence. Knowledge of AutoCAD and brake calipers would be beneficial. Full training will be provided as necessary.
