Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative. The Sales Representative will lead customer sales and service for their Indy office. This position is responsible for selling, merchandising and maintaining inventory levels for products, while growing existing business and prospecting for potential customer accounts. A large focus will be to meet or exceed customer service and revenue generation goals while supporting the General Manager with administrative day-to-day needs.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Support commitment to existing and potential customers through personalized sales calls (both in-person and by phone).
Looks for additional sales and service opportunities to further grow client base and sales revenue.
Works with vendors and clients to facilitate meetings that provide an opportunity to showcase products.
Understands and has extensive knowledge of products and service offerings to market and promote programs that align with customer needs.
Build customer relationships through understanding the customer and their needs. Display a high level of responsiveness to customer issues or concerns.
Works on promotional opportunities and helps to develop marketing strategies to help maximizes
Attends trade shows and events as needed to build relationships, look for sales opportunities and provide information on SRI products and services.
Provide administrative store support in the areas purchasing, sales and inventory control, warehousing and accounting (i.e., accounts payable/receivables, invoicing).
Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management; complete call sheets, expense reports and tracking reports in a timely manner in alignment with company policy; and maintain ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company vision.
Attend sales meetings and training sessions to develop superior product knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must believe in the core vision of company, applying professional action and follow-up to support company’s commitment to customer service.
Associates degree in Automotive or Industrial, Marketing/Sales or other related field is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to three years’ experience working in metal and industrial sales with motorsports background preferred but not required.
One to three years’ progressive customer service and sales experience.
Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with clients.
Research capabilities to identify influential partnerships for the business within a geographic area.
Ability to work independently as well as be a part of the team with minimal day to day supervision – must be self-directed.
Demonstrates a positive attitude, self-motivation, empathy, and resourcefulness while maintaining a reputation that reflects proactive team participation. Is client focused and presents a willingness to assist where/when needed.
Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external contacts to include active listening, developing rapport and resolving conflict.
Ability to assess and resolve customer inquiries and concerns, responding timely and effectively. Understand when to elevate a situation to the next level.
Ability to be multi-faceted in business environment to assist where needed with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrate strong work ethic with a commitment to professional behavior and interactions.
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications with QuickBooks experience preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and must submit to a driver record search.
The compensation includes a competitive base salary.
