The Blog Content Specialist will be responsible for content management, content marketing, content optimization and content publishing for the 4WheelParts WordPress blog. We are in process of launching an automotive blog about lifestyle, tips, advice, product reviews and comparisons, off-road adventures and more. The Blog Manager / SEO Analyst will be responsible for setting up the blog in a search friendly way and position it so that it has a realistic chance to perform well in natural search against the competition. The Blog Content Specialist will work closely with the SEO Manager on a blog strategy. The Blog Content Specialist will implement the strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing, consolidating, compiling and publishing content to the WordPress blog.
Responsible for developing the overall publishing workflow and process.
Works closely with content writers, videographers, photographers, SEO, Paid Search, Social Media, Affiliate, Catalogues and categorizes our existing content archives and selects the content pieces to feature.
Executes on SEO strategy developed by the SEO Manager and/or in collaboration with the SEO Manager.
Responsible for keyword research to determine to the target of existing articles and new content pieces.
Reviews existing content with respect to their ability to rank well for determined keywords.
Determines and implements on-page optimization of existing and new content, including titles, headers, meta
Works with Social Media, Paid Search and Email teams to promote content and drive sales.
Monitors content performance.
Reports on content performance.
Nice to have: Ability to update the WordPress software and install valuable plugins.
Moderates and responds to blog comments.
Stays abreast of changes in the online SEO environment to best serve the objectives of the organization.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Required minimum of 2 years hands-on SEO experience.
Experience working on SEO for publishing media websites. (The larger the website the better.)
Experience putting together (or being part of) content publishing processes.
Experience publishing with WordPress.
Experience handling and analyzing big sets of data via Excel or Google Sheets.
Must be able to demonstrate sustained organic growth success.
Must have familiarity with web analytics suites such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar.
Must have expert knowledge of some of the main SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Google Keyword Planner, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, BrightEdge, Botify, Moz, Ahrefs. etc.
Must have B2C experience.
Microsoft Office proficiency (including Outlook; Word; Excel and PowerPoint);
Additional experience in digital marketing is a plus.
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
Ability to manage projects and tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to execute effectively by using resources efficiently and meeting deadlines.
Ability to clearly convey and accurately receive information by a variety of methods and in various situations.
