Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial manufacturer, is seeking an Account Executive to join our Automotive Aftermarket sales team. This is a full-time position based in Valley City, Ohio, 20 miles southwest of Cleveland.
The ideal candidate will have some sales or customer management experience in the automotive aftermarket or industrial arena. A technical background or interest in the areas of automotive chassis, driveline, and engine components will be a plus for the candidate chosen. A four-year college degree and at least four years of sales or industry experience are preferred, although consideration will be given to all qualified candidates.
The responsibility of the Account Executive position is to achieve the assigned sales budget for existing customers, as well to seek out and obtain new customers based on the sales strategies of the organization. This position will be focused primarily on the sale of bulk products but will also have some overlap into the branded and transmission specialty side of the business. The ability to develop and build relationships with existing and prospective new customers, as well as with Schaeffler associates both internally and globally, will be key to success in this position. Periodic travel of up to 25% (including some weekends) will be required.
Basic skillset necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position are as follows:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint •Ability to multi-task with accuracy and effectiveness •Familiarity with SAP and/or any CRM software also a plus •Self-confident and able to plan, organize, implement, and follow-up •Ability to complete assigned reports on time, including organizing sales prospects, sales planning, or other sales support projects as assigned. •Ability to work both as an individual as well as in a team environment
