Do you enjoy working with your hands to produce automotive parts in a clean and climate controlled environment? We are looking for someone to operate common machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, lasers, grinders, etc. to produce a variety of performance automotive parts to required specifications and tolerances and support the process of continuous improvement and team building at Speedway Motors. Enjoy a modern, clean, organized, climate controlled shop with excellent work conditions. This is a full-time 1st or 2nd shift (with differential) position.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED, technical school is a plus. Must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding, follow safety procedures and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must be able to read blueprints and familiar with machine shop equipment.
Requirements: Must be able to use hands and fingers for grasping, pinching and using tools, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, rarely lift up to 75 pounds and rarely push/pull up to 100 pounds. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional sitting, bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling and squatting.
