Are you ready to put your career in gear in a friendly, clean and climate controlled environment? Speedway Motors may be the ticket! The qualified machinist will setup, program CNC production equipment, program using a CAD/CAM package from 3-D models. Additionally, this position will machine parts while performing inspections to ensure Speedway's quality standards are being maintained.
Must be able to program and operate a variety of CNC lathes with live tooling, Y-axis and Sub Spindles, CNC VMC and horizontal machining centers and manual machines in the shop which include: mills, lathes, saws, drill presses, grinders and miscellaneous hand tools using established safety processes and procedures.
Use precision measuring instruments including gages, calipers and micrometers to accurately measure components and finished parts
Monitor tooling life to prevent scrap
Maintain clean and orderly work areas
Performs minor machine maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication of machines
High School or GED required. Prefer precision tooling degree with two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer literate with excellent communication skills
