Position available in California for a manufacturer sales representative. We are a long standing sales firm specializing in the Performance and Offroad aftermarket. Applicant must have prior automotive/aftermarket experience. The position will include some travel within the territory (approx 1 week of overnights per month) and some travel outside of the territory for trade shows or special events. Territory will include the entire state. You will be responsible for managing wholesale distribution, niche market and specialty accounts. You will be responsible for new business opportunities within the territory. Reporting is required on a weekly/monthly basis. Applicant must be self motivated and have strong communication skills. Some (but not all) of the the duties will include the following:
Selling to key accounts and developing new business
Planning daily and weekly activities/appointments and provide daily recap of results and accomplishments to management team
Contact new and existing customers to maintain and develop relationships at the purchasing level
Participate or lead sales meetings, on-site training, and remain educated in company policy and industry trends and developments
Negotiate and use persuasion skills to overcome objection
