The General Manager will provide leadership to manage WFS Dallas business operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources to fulfil the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth. Reporting directly to WFS Automotive Divisional General Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring efficient coordination with WFS Dallas operations on all business aspects including operational, technical, service and financial.
Jointly responsible with the Head of Local Automotive Business Unit for defining the strategic management guidelines, WFS Dallas’s operational and business development initiatives to achieve the corporate strategic objectives, with particular focus on developing a presence in WFS Dallas' geographic and market areas of interest. Responsible for communicating, implementing and monitoring achievement of the company’s short and long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies at local level in accordance with WFS Automotive General Manager requirements and strategic directives.
Ensures the correct integration among the WFS Automotive Local Subsidiaries and WFS Automotive itself.
Jointly with the Head of Local Automotive Business Units defines guidelines and strategies as for local manufacturing, purchasing, planning and operating activities in order to optimize inventory, cost build management and sure maximizing model year production by having certifications and parts on time for unit builds.
Should propose and enforce strategic guidelines to help improve and ensure adequate service capabilities and grow the service network.
Responsible for annual budgeting (operating and capital) approval, execution and forecasting.
Anticipates plans and develops operating resource needs (materiel and human) for financial and accounting functions in support of the strategic plans coherently with of the Head of Local Automotive Business Unit requests and proposals.
Responsible for implementation WFS policies and procedures.
Responsible for communicating and supporting implementation of the business strategic plans and objectives.
Coordinates with business leadership team the efforts to identify and assess new business and other strategic initiatives coherently with WFS CEO, COO, Automotive General Manager resolutions and strategic directives.
Responsible for implementing and monitoring the performance measurement coherently with local performance measurement.
Promotes communication among WFS Automotive Division different subsidiaries / legal entities.
Provides leadership in resolving internal or external conflict.
Education and Experience
Strong profit-driven business experience with divisional or stand alone profit/loss responsibility.
Proven ability to grow a company with strong operation acumen and skills that can be applied in North America and Internationally.
A comfort interfacing at the CEO level in major corporations, with industry partners, service providers.
An MBA is desirable but not essential – must process complex business information to formulate strategies for an emerging and dynamic market.
Experience in new product introduction in emerging markets and segments.
Familiarity with automotive industry (experience desirable) or industrial manufacturing.
Experience with sales and distribution channels and partnerships, and channel conflicts.
Proven general management experience; exposure to public company communications and legal issues is desirable.
