My client, a leading racing sanctioning organization seeks a Senior Technical Manager. This is a highly visible role in a major sanctioning organization. The client would prefer a former pro motorsports athlete with a strong engineering background. This position is located in the Southeast US with a possibility of “work remote” from home office. Extensive travel is required to events (currently 18 per year).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not intended to be all inclusive):
Responsible for the maintenance of the technical rules.
Go to person for teams and manufacturers with all technical enquiries.
Manages activities of competition team at race events. Paddock load-in, overseeing the operations of technical inspections, conformity, protests and disputes.
Required to have a strong skill and understanding of motorcycle race engineering, race paddock operations, race rule books.
Expected to maintain technical-based relationships with motorcycle manufacturers.
Will attend all sanctioned races (currently 18 rounds)
Education and Experience:
Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
Experienced team leader/builder
Former Pro race experience preferred
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
