Major Responsibilities: Prepares bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels and other necessary paperwork. Coordinates and schedules incoming and outgoing shipments with carriers. Negotiates with freight contracts. Review freight invoices for accuracy. Determine work procedures, and expedites workflow. Confers with other managers in the various departments to ensure on time delivery Coordination of other shipping & receiving activities. Ensure correct shipment of orders.
Required Skills: Extensive knowledge of International and domestic shipping procedures Experience with UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, USPS, etc E-Ship experience an advantage Preparation of Commercial invoices, Certificates of Origin, and Bills of Lading, Experience in Ebay and Amazon shipments Strong Leadership Skills Excellent Organization Skills Excellent Communication Skills Safety Concious Exceptional time management and organizational skills Adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to take ownership Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment A passion for delivering great work and meaningful results
Required Education and Experience: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent with 5 – 7 years of experience managing a shipping & receiving staff, including responsibility for hiring, terminating and performance appraisals.
