The National Sales Manager - Automotive position is newly created to harness the growth that Coverking is experiencing. This position will leverage our premium brands in custom car covers, custom seat covers, custom sun shades to increase market share. The National Sales Manager is responsible to communicate the needs and trends of the wider marketplace to all other Coverking departments to ensure that Coverking is offering and developing products that meet the marketplace's requirements both now and in the future. The National Sales Manager takes direct responsibility for automotive customers in the territory to increase revenue through existing and new customers and meet or exceed targets and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential accounts
Assist Manufacturer's Representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
Forecast sales activities and sets performance goals for Territory accordingly.
Keeps management informed by submitting through CRM activity and results, and provide work plans, monthly/annual territory analyses.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
An entrepreneurial, customer-centric mind set. Must be comfortable in a hands-on, high pace environment.
Strong process orientation. Detail oriented, logical and methodological approach to problem solving and collaboration.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
Manages prospects by developing marketing plans and maintain key information in the prospect database
Meet or exceed sales revenue goals for territory.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong negotiation and social skills.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Five years’ experience managing the sales responsibilities in a manufacturing environment that includes direct customer contact and responsibility. Ideal candidate would have some experience working in a small to medium company environment.
Must be experienced using a CRM system, word-processing, presentation, and spreadsheets. Must be comfortable in dealing with customers up to and including the CEO level. Must have good presentation skills for both product presentations and product demonstrations. Must have an understanding of Coverking products and their applications. Must possess a positive, can-do attitude, and must be sensitive to confidential information. Must be flexible and self-motivated with good interpersonal skills, strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills and a "Team" spirit. Must be result oriented. Able and willing to travel when needed. Some International travel may be required.
Work is performed in a home office environment. Travel involved approx. 50% - 60% including multi-night trips to multiple locations.
