The OE Account Manager is responsible for managing the sales efforts for an assigned group of accounts. Efforts are to be focused on current book of business, business development, and creating new business opportunities for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. *Note: Other duties may be assigned.*
Manage the overall business for assigned account base.
Develop product segment growth business plans for existing customers and targeted new customers.
Deliver a unique value proposition to company’s customers by working to develop application specific product solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Attend sales and networking events such as trade shows and customer marketing/sales events.
Analyze customer needs within the market and coordinate with:
-Engineering Department to improve upon existing products
-Strategic Planning Department to ensure inventory pipeline flow
Participate and conduct sales / product training meetings
Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
Report on customer business (competitors’ activities, technical matters, etc.)
Provide continuous support for our OE customers in all functional areas, particularly Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Development, Marketing and Sales
Analyze, evaluate and negotiate new business, where necessary, together with OEM Sales Manager

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited educational institution.
A minimum of (3) years of account sales experience in the tire industry or a related industry and/or field dealing with B2B sales.
COMMUNICATION and ASSOCIATED SKILLS
Ability to read, understand and communicate technical product information.
Must be able to articulate engineering focus with customer expectations, strong ability to communicate engineering and design parameters with the OE customer base.
Must be able to convey professionalism, demonstrate integrity, and strong ability to understand customer needs.
Ability to write professional reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Strong ability to make effective sales presentations using the latest technologies available to deliver a professional mutually beneficial program that wins business and solidifies business relationships.
Must be proficient at Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must have a strong comfort level in data mining utilizing query database software to extract information from data. Must be able to use data to convey information that promotes improved sales performance and success.
The position requires frequent travel to visit key accounts throughout assigned responsibility.The expected overnight travel is 50% or greater.
