The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance of the Company and its products with applicable domestic and international health, safety, packaging and labeling laws/regulations. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a world-class regulatory compliance program, ensuring all Company policies and processes related to workplace health and safety, packaging, shipping and labeling are in compliance with local, state, federal and foreign regulations. You will be familiar with and can evaluate requirements and compliance with agencies relating to the automotive, distribution and retail industry, including the EPA, CARB, FAA, OSHA and other Agencies. Your role will consist of the following and candidates should have experience in these areas:
Assist in the new product development process to evaluate and comply with all regulatory issues.
Collaborate with the Purchasing team to ensure vendors’ and suppliers’ compliance in packaging, shipping and labeling of products sourced by the Company.
Identify potential compliance risks and work with business leadership to recommend and implement appropriate solutions.
Coordinate with Government Relations and industry association activities to stay informed of new compliance requirements and to affect favorable regulatory change.
Develop and maintain Hazardous Material Business Plans, Hazardous Information Sheets, compliance assessments, and any other related materials required by first responders and/or environmental agencies.
Maintain regulatory calendar to ensure all required reports and filings are timely.
Assisting with and responding to agency investigations.

Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in related engineering/science field.
Mid-range experience in automotive industry and current experience in automotive regulatory affairs.
Experience working with regulatory agencies including OSHA, the FAA, and industry colleges.
Experience with CARB, Proposition 65 labeling laws.
Strong experience and familiarity with CFR 49 and experience working with the proper identification, labeling and shipping of hazardous materials.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to train associates at all levels on compliance matters.
