Technician - Body Shop
The Journeyman Auto Body Technician repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with shop specifications and time standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Restore damaged vehicles to their original structural state, function and appearance
Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders
Works with various metals and plastics, glass, electrical and mechanical parts
Remove damaged panels, any damaged vehicle part
File, grind and sand repaired surfaces
Align or replace damaged parts according to manufacturers' specification
Additional job duties as assigned
At least three to five years' experience in a collision repair organization
I-CAR certifications are required
A/C (Air Conditioning) Certification necessary in order to discharge/recharge A/C
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Working knowledge of shop equipment
Be physically fit to lift, bend and work with both manual and power tools
Must be on your feet for the majority of the day
Must abide by company dress code policy and all safety PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required
Regular attendance is required and must comply with set work schedule agreement

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to the outside environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions. The noise level in the outside work environment is occasionally loud.
