Identify and describe market opportunities to enable Bosch's Automotive Aftermarket to increase sales volume and profit margins through the application of Category Management principles and concepts using both quantitative and qualitative data. Support Bosch Automotive Aftermarket market research efforts.
Identify opportunities to increase Aftermarket sales volume and profit margins.
Ensure Category Management strategy and alignment occurs between automotive sales departments, as well as with other Bosch business units.
Assist Manager in positioning Bosch as the industry leader in Aftermarket Category Management, creating need by Retailers and Distributors to be a part of the Bosch Aftermarket program.
Identify, select and manage the data sources to accomplish department goals.
Identify product programs and product features that customers feel do not add value, in order to redeploy those resources for improved results.
Analyze data per customer requirements and requests, to help identify opportunities for Bosch products and categories at individual customers.
Create monthly reports using NPD POS data to be delivered to the respective customers and Bosch management
Leverage Market Research to enhance understanding of our customers (DIY & DIFM)
Serve as Category Captain as requested by individual Bosch customers.
Implement best practices, processes and tools as directed by the Manager of Category Management.
Bachelor's degree in category management, sales, business, marketing; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
1-3 years related experience.
Complete knowledge of Category Management concepts and techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of marketing concepts.
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
Analytics software experience; Tableau and MicroStrategy preferred.
JDA Prospace experience preferred.
Data provider experience; NPD and Nielsen preferred.
Consumer insights experience preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and platform communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Demonstrated strengths in project management and problem solving skills.
A self-starter, highly motivated and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10-15% domestically.
Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship. Not open to VA/VN assignment
