SUMMARY: Provide production machining and assembly support for the manufacturing of Cylinder Heads and other products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned: Plan, Organize, and Operate machining centers: Seat & Guide Machine, Valve Honing Stand, Valve Grinder, Head Decker, and Pressure Tester. Assemble, flow test, and package heads for shipment to customers. Maintain accurate records of work performed. Manage supplies and equipment, including performing Preventive Maintenance on assigned machinery and tooling. Assist manufacturing personnel in machining, turning, cleaning, inspecting, assembly, and any other duties required in a team environment. Run CNC and other machines (i.e. load parts and run program.) Interact with customers as needed. Communicate and cooperate with the supervisor and all other members of the team to improve the operation in all areas including efficiency, productivity, and supply costs.
EDUCATION High School Graduate or equivalent. Automotive Machine Shop Training.
Must have 2 years of experience with measuring and gauging equipment. Must understand cylinder heads, their assembly and function. 5 years automotive high performance component assembly and product installation. 2 years of experience in automotive machining is a plus.
