Conferring with customers and service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and to discuss work needed to be performed and future repair requirements
Performing quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, etc.)
Communicating directly with the service advisor, so customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. If additional repairs are needed, provide an accurate estimate of additional time needed to complete repairs
Test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems, using equipment such as analyzers, compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices

Must have some level of instructor led automotive training (e.g. high school automotive, vocational, college, technical school, OEM, etc.)
ASE certification preferred
Must have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment,etc.
Must have valid driver's license, and clean driving record
Must have basic hand tools and toolbox
Must have attention to detail

OK Auto, 4wd & Tire was started back in 1979 after owner Jim Oostdyk rolled his '61 Jeep CJ-5. Working out of a two-bay gas station called Jim's Getty, Jim began rebuilding his CJ-5. When it was finished, other people wanted to have their four-wheel drive vehicles modified, and as a result OK 4x4 Shop was started. In 1985 the name was changed to OK Auto, 4wd & Tire to show that the business servic...ed cars and sold tires.
Thanks to phenomenal growth, we moved into a new building at our current location in 1988. Only a few years later, we built an addition that provided a significant increase in square footage. Then in 2007, we completed another major renovation to our building with an updated look and increased size of all departments!
Today, over 30 years later, OK continues to be your source for all of your automotive and off-road needs. We have seven service bays, and we're ASE Blue Seal Certified, with nine certified technician and one certified master technician.
